Livestream Coachella 2023!

We all saw how big live-streaming has become over the past few years, especially with the addition of COVID. Well looks like there's some lingering benefits from all the infrastructure that was built around it! This year, you can watch Coachella live from your computer, live, wherever you are. Scheduled for next weekend, the stream will be across 6 different feeds on YouTube to cover all bands and stages, so be sure to catch your fav band live from your living room! Rap Music Banned at Sydney Easter Show

It's becoming more and more common over the past few years for rap and hip hop music to be censored, performances banned and musicians imprisoned. Over East, the NSW police have had a huge impact, banning most live rap performances, recently with group OneFour not being allowed to walk out a famous boxer to his match, with their own song playing. Now the Sydney Easter Show has teamed up with NSW Police to ban any rides or stalls from playing rap music as it will “lure youth into a life of crime”. Feels like the 80's all over again! Music Publishing Workshop

We all know music publishing can be a bit of a tricky one, like, what exactly does it mean?!
Well fear not - there's a workshop coming up for you! Clive Hodson will delve into and discuss the importance of music publishing, what music publishers do, when is it the right time to think about music publishing, how to know when it is the right time to talk with a music publisher and synchronisation and co-writing. Ticketmaster - Whats Wrong With Concert Sales

From Pearl Jam in the 90's to the recent Taylor Swift debacle, TicketMaster has always been under the microscope, and their impact (positive, or negative) on the live music scene in every country cannot be understated. Well there is also a lot more to it that I didn't know - Remember how scalpers used bots to get all the good tickets to the concert you wanted to see? Yeah, that's not what happened. Remember when Ticketmaster forced your favorite band to add outrageously high fees to every ticket you bought? That's what you're supposed to believe but it's not the truth.
